Pi Network Unveils Version 23 Upgrade With Enhanced KYC Controls

Pi Network has released version 23, an upgrade that strengthens its KYC processes while introducing new features for users. This update utilizes Stellar v23, yet is tailored to fit Pi’s unique ecosystem. Users will gain more control and access to enhanced functionalities. A key change involves a decentralized KYC process managed by various trusted third-party services, leading to greater user autonomy. 15 million people have already completed KYC, signifying significant progress for the network. However, roll out is phased, starting with Testnet1, followed by Testnet2, and eventually Mainnet. The upgrade will be implemented gradually, with users being informed beforehand of any temporary system disruptions. Despite these advancements, Pi coin price remains down against market pressure. At the time of writing this report, it trades at $0.34. The token briefly dipped to an all-time low of $0.33 on August 26 before experiencing a brief recovery.
