Pi Network has just rolled out its latest updates, inspired by the Stellar-based Protocol 23. These upgrades aim to enhance blockchain functionality and ensure long-term network sustainability. Key changes include:
**Protocol v23 Update:** This upgrade replaces older version v19 with Protocol v23, introducing modular smart contract layers and improved consensus mechanisms for developers, enabling the creation of more sophisticated decentralized applications (dApps).
**Linux Support:** A new Linux node software expands Pi Network’s decentralized infrastructure beyond Windows and macOS, adding a wider range of validator participation.
**KYC Integration:** This update integrates Know Your Customer (KYC) directly into the protocol, streamlining verification for both users and third-party authorities.
Though these updates are significant, they haven’t yet had an immediate impact on the PI token’s market capitalization, which remains 88% lower than its all-time high. This update doesn’t represent investment advice.
