Japan-based platform service provider Robot Consulting has committed to invest 1 billion yen in Ethereum (ETH) as part of a strategic plan to enter the legal tech and metaverse sectors. This investment, funded by existing cash reserves and proceeds from their IPO in July 2025, will begin in the last quarter of 2025 or the spring of 2026. The company aims to adjust its investment amount according to market conditions, with quarterly updates on Ethereum asset values, and any resulting gains or losses reflected in financial reports. Robot Consulting plans to leverage Ethereum’s smart contract capabilities and blockchain ecosystem within legal technology initiatives to develop innovative solutions for accessible legal services. CEO Amit Thakur highlights that this investment strengthens the company’s blockchain strategy alongside its legal tech vision, believing it will increase long-term corporate value as both a technological platform and investment vehicle. Robot Consulting is known for its cloud-based human resources management system Labor Robot and its upcoming Robot Lawyer project. The company seeks to enhance its presence in AI-powered legal consulting, metaverse-based legal services, and digital transformation solutions. This move marks a significant milestone in Robot Consulting’s ambitious strategic growth plan within the realm of legal technology.
