Lagarde Urges for Tougher Regulation of Non-EU Stablecoins

Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank (ECB), has called on policymakers to strengthen oversight of stablecoins issued outside the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. She emphasizes the need for stricter rules and regulations regarding their use and issuance by non-EU entities working with those based within the EU.
