WAEC Sets Course for Full Computer-Based Testing by 2026

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has reaffirmed its plan to fully implement computer-based testing (CBT) for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The move aims to combat examination malpractice and embrace digital adoption. WAEC’s Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, revealed that the transition commenced with private candidates in 2024. With progress already made, full nationwide implementation is slated for 2026.
