SEC & CFTC Collaborate on Spot Crypto Asset Trading

In a groundbreaking move, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have joined forces to streamline regulatory oversight for spot crypto assets. Their joint statement clarifies that current law doesn’t restrict SEC- or CFTC-registered exchanges from facilitating trading in these products.
