Phishing Scam Exacerbates DeFi Concerns: $27M Stolen from Venus Protocol

A recent phishing scam has resulted in a significant loss of funds for a user on the Venus Protocol, with approximately $27 million stolen. PeckShield highlighted this incident on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the victim’s funds were lost after granting unauthorized token approval to an attacker’s address. The malicious actor then transferred these funds to a wallet associated with bad actors (0x7fd8…….202a). 6 different tokens now hold a combined value of $27,148,756.95 in this wallet. Notably, a substantial portion of the stolen funds is allocated to Venus USDT ($19,828,167), vUSDC ($7,151,104.67), Binance Peg XRP ($146,882), and Binance Peg ETH ($22,602). )
