Amazon Launches Cloud Services in New Zealand, Creates Jobs and Boosts Economy

Amazon has officially launched its cloud services in New Zealand, marking the realization of a significant investment plan first announced in 2021. With an investment exceeding NZ$7.5 billion ($4.4 billion), Amazon Web Services (AWS) will open its AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region to empower local businesses with essential cloud computing solutions. The program promises over 1,000 new jobs annually and is expected to contribute nearly NZ$10.8 billion to the country’s GDP.
