The Ethereum Foundation has announced the end of the Holešky testnet’s operational lifespan, signaling its imminent closure. Following the successful implementation of the Fusaka upgrade on Holešky, validator node support will be discontinued within two weeks. Subsequently, teams responsible for client, testing, and infrastructure services for Holešky will cease operations. 2023 marked the launch of Holešky as Ethereum’s largest public testnet, specifically crafted to evaluate large-scale staking infrastructure and validator operation. The network played a crucial role in guiding thousands of validators through protocol upgrades such as Dencun and recent Pectra developments.
