Grayscale Investments has submitted applications to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) seeking approval for two new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) focused on cryptocurrencies Cardano (ADA) and Polkadot (DOT). These ETFs would enable investors to gain exposure to ADA and DOT without directly buying or storing these assets, utilizing a simplified approach for investing in altcoins. The firm plans to list both the Cardano ETF (GADA) on the NYSE Arca stock exchange using the CoinDesk Cardano Price Index and the Polkadot ETF (DOT) on Nasdaq with the ticker DOT and tracking the CoinDesk DOT CCIXber Reference Rate. Coinbase will serve as custodian for both ETFs.
