El Salvador Diversifies Bitcoin Holdings to Mitigate Risks

El Salvador has taken steps to diversify its Bitcoin holdings by distributing them across multiple addresses, as reported by PANews. The nation’s previous Bitcoin holdings, previously held in a single address containing 6,274 Bitcoins worth $678 million, have been split into 14 new addresses. This action is part of an effort to reduce the impact of potential quantum attacks by dispersing funds more evenly. As per El Salvador’s Bitcoin Office on X, each newly created address can now hold a maximum of 500 BTC, furthering security measures for the country’s cryptocurrency holdings.
