US Regulator Opens Pathway for Americans to Trade on Offshore Crypto Exchanges

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced a new pathway for US-based crypto exchanges to legally serve American clients by registering under the Foreign Board of Trade (FBOT) framework. This move allows previously restricted US customers to trade on offshore platforms, which have been operating since the 1990s under the FBOT registry, with support extending across all asset classes, according to CFTC Director Caroline Pham.
