Ethereum’s staking system is facing significant pressure due to a surge in withdrawals exceeding new deposits. The imbalance has led to prolonged delays in validator exits, reaching nearly 18 days on average – the longest wait time in recent history. This growing outflow of capital and increased withdrawal requests suggest that some users may be re-evaluating their participation in Ethereum’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network. The exit queue has surpassed $4.6 billion, outpacing the new deposits by a significant margin. While the current situation doesn’t pose immediate risks to the network’s core functionality, experts express concern about potential volatility and impact on validator participation in the future.
