August 2025 will mark a significant milestone in the history of blockchain events as ETH Enugu ’25 unfolded. This groundbreaking two-week experience, blending builder residency, pop-up city, and conference into one, established itself as the largest Ethereum-focused gathering in Africa – and the inaugural Ethereum Conference in Nigeria. With over 500 participants at the pop-up city, 50 resident fellows contributing their expertise, 1,000+ attendees at the conference, and countless workshops and a hackathon, ETH Enugu ’25 positioned itself as a blueprint for future blockchain events across Africa. This ambitious undertaking originated from pre-event Ethereum University tours at three Nigerian universities (UNN, UNEC, ESUT), leading up to the official launch in 2024 with the ETH Devcon satellite meetup post-devcon24.
