Chinese & Korean Phone Makers Prepare for Russian Max Pre-Install

Russian media reports indicate that manufacturers from China and South Korea are making significant efforts to pre-install Russia’s government-backed messaging app, Max, on smartphones sold in the country. The move is aimed at complying with a September deadline set by the Russian government. Sources close to the industry shared this development with TASS, citing representatives of leading electronics brands. Notably, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Tecno, and Infinix have reportedly agreed to pre-install Max on their devices sold in Russia.
