Trish Turner Exits IRS as Crypto Tax Leader, Shifts to Private Sector

Trish Turner, the former head of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)’s digital assets division, has stepped down after a three-month tenure. Turner’s departure comes amidst the IRS’s ongoing efforts to develop a regulatory framework for crypto taxation. Her move marks the end of nearly two decades dedicated to the tax office, during which she played a key role in establishing the IRS’s digital asset strategy. She is now joining cryptocurrency tax firm Crypto Tax Girl as their tax director, focusing on connecting industry participants with regulators to bridge the gap between the private and public sectors.
