A recent analysis by PANews reveals a decline in the circulation of Circle’s USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin over the past week. Between August 14 and August 21, Circle issued approximately 52 billion USDC while redeeming around 57 billion USDC, resulting in a net reduction of 5 billion USDC in circulating supply. This brings the total circulation of USDC to 67 billion coins. Despite this reduction, Circle’s financial stability remains strong, with its reserves standing at approximately $67.1 billion. These reserves include cash reserves of $8.4 billion and the Circle Reserve Fund holding about $58.8 billion. This demonstrates their capability to manage large-scale transactions smoothly.
