CME Group’s XRP futures have reached a new all-time high for open interest, surpassing 6,000 contracts. This follows months of trading with over $9 billion in notional volume. The standard contract size is 50,000 XRP worth approximately $145,000 at current prices, while smaller micro contracts are available for retail traders with a size of 2,500 XRP. CME launched its XRP futures product after initial plans were leaked in January. Data from CoinGlass shows the overall open interest currently stands at 2.59 billion tokens ($7.45 billion). The Bitget exchange has emerged as a surprise leader in open interest for XRP futures, followed by Binance and CME Group respectively. Other notable exchanges within the top 10 include OKX, KuCoin, MEXC, and Hyperliquid.
