Binance Warns of Social Engineering SMS Scams After $91M Bitcoin Theft

Crypto exchange Binance has issued a warning to its users about a rise in social engineering scams that resulted in the theft of $91 million worth of Bitcoin. The victim fell prey to these attacks after scammers impersonated Binance and their hardware wallet support via text messages. These messages falsely alerted the victim to potential risks on their accounts, prompting them to share sensitive information with the attackers.
