Emirates to Integrate Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Other Cryptocurrencies for Travel Payments

The UAE’s push for digital finance is taking flight with Emirates announcing its integration of cryptocurrency for travel payments by 2026. The airline signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com to explore this innovative approach. Passengers will soon be able to use Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cronos, and stablecoins like USDT and USDC to pay for flights, upgrades, duty-free items, and more on Emirates routes. This move follows the country’s regulatory framework that encourages digital financial innovation and aligns with Dubai’s ambition to become a global hub of crypto technology.
