US DOJ Seizes $2.8 Million in Cryptocurrency Linked to Ransomware Operator

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has taken action against a cryptocurrency operation linked to Ianis Aleksandrovich Antropenko, who is accused of orchestrating ransomware attacks that resulted in the seizure of over $2.8 million worth of cryptocurrencies, $70,000 in cash, and a luxury vehicle. Antropenko faces charges related to conspiracy to commit computer fraud and abuse and money laundering.
