Coinbase Expands Asset Listings with USDC Integration & New Tokens

Crypto exchange Coinbase has made a series of significant announcements regarding its asset listings. In a recent tweet, they confirmed the launch of USDC transfers on Base for New York residents via their app. This move is bolstered by the company’s Virtual Currency Business Activity license from the New York State Department of Financial Services. 🤝 Coinbase also announced support for WalletConnect Token (WCT) on the Optimism network, with trading expected to commence on August 14th, 2025, contingent upon liquidity. Additionally, they’ve added Useless Coin (USELESS) to their roadmap. This follows the recent addition of Mamo (MAMO), Euler (EUL), Towns Protocol (TOWNS), and Succinct (PROVE). 📈 In a separate development, Coinbase is delisting Ethernity Chain (ERN) on August 22nd, 2025 at 2 p.m. ET due to the closure of the migration bridge without prior notice from the project team. Lastly, trading for Function X (FX) will be suspended on August 15th, 2025, at 2 p.m. on Coinbase Simple and Advanced Trade platforms, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime, following the pause of its underlying smart contract by the project team.
