Crypto App Safe Harbor Proposed to Ease SEC Scrutiny

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and the DeFi Education Fund have called for a regulatory safe harbor program from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for non-fungible token (NFT) and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. This proposal follows President Trump’s call to provide relief to certain DeFi service providers, aiming to reduce the burden of broker-dealer registration.
