US Inflation Rises, But Falls Short of Expectations

The US consumer price index (CPI) rose in July, but the pace came in below forecasts. The CPI increased 0.2% for the month, with a year-over-year increase of 2.7%. Despite this rise, economists had expected similar monthly and annual gains.
