Storm’s Retrial Delayed: Procedural Deadline Extension Impacts Case

Roman Storm’s legal team and US prosecutors have agreed to extend procedural deadlines for a potential retrial on charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering and violating sanctions. Judge Katherine Failla’s approval allows for the start of any new trial to be postponed until December 18, 2025, beyond the initial 70-day deadline following the conclusion of Storm’s original trial. The delay is attributed to the defense needing time to prepare post-trial motions. Although prosecutors did not confirm their intention to retry Storm, any scheduling on this matter is likely to be delayed until later in 2025.
