Amazon Powers Pennsylvania Data Centers with Nuclear Energy Deal

Amazon has secured a long-term power agreement for its data centers in Pennsylvania, tapping into 1,920 megawatts of nuclear energy from Talen Energy. The deal will be active until 2042 and provides electricity to Amazon’s facilities in the region. In addition, Amazon aims to explore small modular reactor (SMR) technology as a potential alternative power source.
