Illegal Cryptocurrency Mining Discovered in Buryatia, Russia

Russian authorities in the Lake Baikal region uncovered an illegal cryptocurrency mining operation during a routine inspection of power lines, according to PANews. The operation was concealed inside a Kamaz truck and utilized a 10-kilovolt line for its electricity supply. The truck contained 95 mining devices and a mobile substation. However, two individuals involved in the operation fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
