A new report reveals that centralized Bitcoin (BTC) treasuries now hold a significant 30.9% of the total circulating supply, according to Gemini’s research. This concentration spans across 216 entities, including governments, ETFs, companies, exchanges, and DeFi contracts, signifying growing institutional acceptance in the cryptocurrency market. The report also details the exponential increase in Bitcoin held by major institutions over the past decade, rising from 730,000 BTC in 2013 to an astounding 6,145,207 BTC today – a whopping 924% surge.
