Binance Expands Service to Syria Post-Sanctions

Binance is expanding its services into Syria following the lifting of US and EU sanctions in May, marking a significant step towards increasing crypto accessibility within the country. The launch, scheduled for June 12th, 2025, offers Syrian users access to over 300 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, significantly impacting trading volumes. Binance’s regional head, Bader Kalooti, stressed the importance of KYC procedures for Syrian users: ‘Syrian users must complete standard Binance KYC to begin using its services.’ This expansion paves the way for new financial opportunities in Syria, aligning with global crypto adoption efforts.
