Men Plead Not Guilty in Cryptocurrency Kidnapping Case

Two men have been charged with kidnapping and torture in New York City, allegedly stemming from a dispute over Bitcoin. John Woeltz and William Duplessie, aged 37 and 33 respectively, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Manhattan Supreme Court. The victim, a 28-year-old Italian man, was held captive for 17 days before his release, with the incident’s motivation reported to be an argument regarding Bitcoin holdings. Both defendants maintain their innocence.
