Peter Thiel-Backed Bullish Files for IPO, Joining Growing Wave of Crypto Firms

Bullish, a cryptocurrency exchange backed by venture capitalist Peter Thiel, has confidentially filed an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States. This marks Bullish’s second attempt at going public following a failed special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) merger in 2021 which collapsed during a market downturn caused by rising interest rates. The filing was submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Jefferies has been appointed as the lead underwriter for the upcoming offering. This move comes amid a growing trend of crypto firms seeking public listings, including Circle’s successful IPO last week that saw its shares surge over 300% in its first days of trading.
