South African telecommunications company Telkom has reported a significant financial turnaround, achieving a 62.3% surge in full-year earnings for the year ended March 31, 2025. This robust performance marks a turning point in the company’s ongoing strategic revival plan and led to the resumption of dividend payments after a four-year hiatus. The company declared a final dividend of 163 cents per share and a special dividend of 98 cents per share, totaling R1.3 billion (approximately $72 million) in shareholder returns. This impressive result was driven by strong growth in mobile and fibre segments, cost optimization efforts, and the strategic sale of its Swiftnet tower business.
