Michelle Bowman Takes Oath as Federal Reserve’s New Vice Chair for Supervision

Michelle Bowman officially assumed her role as Vice Chair for Supervision at the Federal Reserve Board. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the board’s press room, presided over by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. President Donald Trump nominated Bowman for this position on March 24, 2025, and she received Senate confirmation on June 4. Her tenure as Vice Chair for Supervision is set to conclude on June 9, 2029, while her term on the board extends until January 31, 2034.
