Tether Opens-Source Mining Software, Encouraging New Bitcoin Miners

Stablecoin issuer Tether is taking a major step towards increasing Bitcoin’s market accessibility by opening-source its Bitcoin mining software. This move, announced by CEO Paolo Ardoino on X (formerly Twitter), aims to empower new entrants to the industry without relying on expensive third-party vendors. Tether’s Bitcoin Mining OS (MOS) leverages a scalable and modular peer-to-peer Internet of Things architecture, designed for compatibility with existing mining infrastructure. This open-source software is expected to launch by the fourth quarter of 2025. )
