Ripple Unveils Japan-Focused Program for Web3 Startups

Ripple is bolstering its presence in the Asian blockchain space with a new initiative specifically targeting Japan’s growing digital asset industry. The program, spearheaded by Ripple and Web3 Salon, a project backed by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and powered by Asia Web3 Alliance Japan, aims to support emerging Web3 startups building real-world solutions on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The initiative is structured around a grant program offering up to $200,000 per startup to Japanese firms focused on XRPL use cases like DeFi, tokenized assets, and digital payments. This funding comes through Ripple’s Japan & Korea Fund, part of its $1 billion commitment to the XRP ecosystem launched in 2022.
