The platform saw a 44% increase in monthly active addresses compared to the previous month, with over 467,000 users completing transactions in May 2025. This is the highest number of active users on OpenSea since April 2023. The surge in user numbers closely mirrors the current trend, with June displaying a similar pattern and currently standing at 236,091 active users. This rise can be attributed to the platform’s OS2 update, which offers improved functionality for trading both fungible and non-fungible tokens, eliminating the need for bridging or swapping. The platform is currently experiencing a boom in new user acquisition due to this update.
