Ukrainian Man Arrested for Cryptojacking Using Hosting Company Accounts

A 35-year-old man from Ukraine’s Poltava region has been arrested and accused of illegally gaining access to over 5,000 customer accounts at a major international hosting company. The suspect reportedly exploited vulnerabilities in the company’s security for years, utilizing their servers for crypto mining without permission – known as ‘cryptojacking’. This activity resulted in substantial financial losses estimated at $4.4 million for the hosting company.
