South Korea Elects Pro-Crypto Lee Jae-myung as President

South Korea has elected Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party as its new president following a snap election. His victory comes after a campaign focused on pro-crypto policies, which include allowing investment in Bitcoin by South Korea’s national pension fund and supporting Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The unexpected surge in voter turnout at 80% has set record for the presidential election since 1997.
