CME Witnessing Explosive Growth in Cryptocurrency Futures Trading

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) reported a substantial surge in cryptocurrency futures trading volumes during May, according to data from Odaily. The platform witnessed an average daily trading volume of 28.9 million contracts, with cryptocurrency contracts showing a remarkable 145% increase in daily activity. Ethereum futures saw a significant rise, averaging 17,000 contracts per day, while micro Ethereum futures experienced an even more impressive jump, increasing by 235% to average 92,000 contracts daily. Similarly, micro Bitcoin futures witnessed growth of 95%, averaging 65,000 contracts daily.
