Pakistan Prepares for Crypto Regulation: New Draft Unveiled

In a significant move toward crypto regulation, Pakistan is taking steps forward despite the ongoing ban on cryptocurrency. On June 2nd, the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC) held a high-level meeting in Islamabad to draft a regulatory framework for digital and virtual assets, marking a major shift in the country’s policy direction. The meeting, chaired by Finance and Revenue Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, involved key stakeholders including the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), SECP Chairperson, and law and IT ministry officials, who collaborated to outline a path for digital asset development.
