South Korean cryptocurrency markets witnessed a notable price surge for Bitcoin on June 4th, with the asset trading at a 1.24% Kimchi Premium. According to data from Upbit exchange, Bitcoin reached 148.85 million KRW at 12:00 AM KST, marking an increase of 0.52% from the previous day. Binance global exchange showed a slightly different price point at 147.03 million KRW, resulting in a price difference of 1.82 million KRW and generating a Kimchi Premium of 1.24%. Ethereum (ETH) continued to perform well, with a Kimchi Premium of 1.30%, while other major altcoins also displayed similar premiums: Solana (SOL) at 1.34%, XRP (XRP) at 1.27%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 1.41%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 1.29%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium ranging from 1.2% to 1.4% in South Korea.
