South Korea Opens Door for Institutional Crypto Trading with First Sale

South Korea is taking a significant step forward in its approach to cryptocurrencies as the country’s first institutional crypto sale takes place. World Vision, a prominent international non-governmental organization, sold a portion of its cryptocurrency holdings on Sunday, marking a momentous milestone following South Korea’s easing of its de facto ban on institutional crypto trading. 0.55 ETH, worth approximately $1,396.5 and equivalent in Korean won, was the amount sold by World Vision through their parent company, Dunamu, which utilized Upbit’s KRW market after integrating their K-Bank corporate account for seamless transaction flow.
