Mnemonic Phrase Exposure Leads to Security Breach, Highlighting Risks in Crypto

A recent security incident involving mnemonic phrase exposure has raised alarm bells within the cryptocurrency community. SlowMist founder Yu Jian revealed that a user had their four mnemonic phrases leaked, resulting in the theft of funds from four corresponding wallets. The hacker then converted these stolen assets into ETH and laundered them through FixedFloat. ‍♂️ Yu Jian underscored the significant threat posed by prolonged online exposure and the widespread dissemination of mnemonic phrases or private keys, noting that increased sharing among users amplifies the risk of leakage. This makes it increasingly challenging to identify the source of the breach.
