EU and US Push for Trade Deal Agreement by July

European Union (EU) officials are working towards resolving existing trade tensions with the United States. On May 30, EU Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič spoke with U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to reaffirm the importance of continued cooperation in finding practical solutions to address ongoing concerns. Meanwhile, European Economic Affairs Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis underscored that despite global complexities, the EU maintains its commitment to open trade relations. Both sides aim to reach an agreement by July 9th. While negotiations are at a crucial stage, Dombrovskis acknowledges the uncertain outlook for these talks.
