SEC Provides Clarity on Cryptocurrency Staking, Seen as Win for US Industry

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued new guidance clarifying the regulatory status of cryptocurrency staking, a move widely viewed as a positive step for the crypto industry. The guidance states that certain aspects of protocol staking, like Ethereum staked in a proof-of-stake blockchain, do not need registration under the Securities Act.
