FTX Begins Second Round of Payments: $5B Distributed to Eligible Creditors

The FTX Recovery Trust has initiated a second wave of payouts to creditors, now totaling $5 billion. On May 30th, the trust began delivering funds to eligible creditors in two categories: Convenience and Non-Convenience Classes who have met pre-distribution requirements. This latest round includes payments for Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claims (72%), US Customer Entitlement Claims (54%), and Convenience Claims (120%). General Unsecured Claims and Digital Asset Loan Claims received 61% distributions according to the reimbursement plan, with recipients expected to receive their claims within one to two business days from official distribution partners, Kraken and Bitgo.
