Circle Freezes $57 Million in USDC Tied to Controversial Libra Memecoin Lawsuit

Crypto exchange Circle has frozen over $57 million worth of USDC associated with wallets linked to the controversial Libra memecoin, now at the center of a legal dispute. The freeze follows a U.S. court order and was implemented by Circle on May 28th, according to blockchain data from Arkham Intelligence. Two Solana-based wallets totaling $44.6 million and another $13 million were affected by this action.
