Bybit Establishes EU Headquarters in Vienna, Securing MiCA License for Expansion

Crypto exchange Bybit has secured a license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA), enabling it to operate across the European Economic Area. The company has obtained the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license, allowing Bybit EU to offer its services as a regulated crypto asset service provider (CASP). The move opens doors for the exchange to serve nearly 500 million Europeans under MiCA’s harmonized framework, which aims to increase regulatory consistency, prevent illicit activity and protect consumers. This expansion comes after Bybit obtained the license in Austria, marking its entry into the European market.
