Bitcoin Security Under Threat: Expert Warns of Low Fees and Potential Attack Risk

Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake has raised concerns about the security of the Bitcoin network, suggesting that low transaction fees could pose a significant threat. Drake, known for his role in the Ethereum transition to Proof-of-Stake (PoS), argues that Bitcoin’s historical decline in transaction fees is indicative of a fundamental weakness. He believes this lack of incentive for miners – who currently generate less than 10 BTC per day in revenue – could lead to a network vulnerability and ultimately impact the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.
