UAE Unveils Finfluencer License: Boosting Transparency in Financial Advice

The United Arab Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has introduced the region’s first ‘Finfluencer’ license, a crucial step towards enhancing market transparency and investor protection. This new initiative targets financial influencers who share investment advice on platforms like social media. The SCA aims to regulate these individuals, aligning their practices with existing compliance standards for traditional financial advisors. The program offers an incentive-based approach, waiving registration, renewal, and legal consultation fees for the next three years, encouraging early adoption of the license and support for financial innovation within the UAE.
